Andrea Bischofberger

Dr. med. vet. Andrea Bischofberger earned her doctorate in 2006. She gained clinical experience through internships at the ISME Equine Clinic, University of Bern, and at Chino Valley Equine Hospital in California, USA. Between 2008 and 2012, she completed a specialization in equine surgery at the University of Sydney, Australia, and is board-certified by both the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) and the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS).

After returning to Switzerland, she initially worked as an emergency surgeon at the ISME Equine Clinic, University of Bern, before joining the Equine Hospital at the University of Zurich in 2012. There, she served as a senior surgeon in equine surgery until 2022. During this time, she obtained both her PhD and habilitation.

Since 2022, Dr. Bischofberger has been working in diagnostic imaging at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich. She is board-certified by the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI).
